Challenges
Despite the
development in the ICT sector, Somalia has several
challenges that are hampering the development of
ICT sector.
The major challenges
include the security problem, lack of a
comprehensive policy and regulatory framework,
inadequate infrastructure, and insufficient
skilled human resources.
Another challenge
for Internet services in Somalia is the cost of
bandwidth as most of the customers are currently
paying between US$ 2500-3000 per Mbs per month.
